26.juni 2024: Registering or updating your profile to take part in B-open works just fine, but we have a bug which makes the text fields go blank after you press ‘oppdater’, and are working to solve it. Practical information

B-open is an annual event where professional artists in Bergen are invited to take part in our edition of open studios. Dates for B-open 2024 is 21.-22nd of September. During the weekend public are invited to meet artists in their studios and collectives all over town. B-open also facilitates a program including guided tours for the public, and a guest program with invited curators that will visit partaking artists’ studios during the weekend.

Studios in the center of town will have open studios Saturday 21st, and studios outside the town center will be open on the 22nd, both days from 12-17. Partaking artists commit to keep their studios open one of two days during all opening hours. If you are unable to take part after registration, please notify us by email to

Who can register to take part in B-open?
Professional artists in Bergen can take part with open studios for free. You will need to have a Bachelor, Master-degree or Diploma within Arts from a Norwegian or foreign art educator. Applicants with no formal education is also welcome to apply but will be assessed based on artistic activity.

Registration for B-open 2024
You can register to take part in B-open 2024 until the deadline 23rd of June 2024.
You register to take part by simply updating your existing profile, by logging in via pc (not mobile phone) at .
If you are participating for the first time this year, you need to create a new profile.
Please note that it might take a few days before your page will be published on the website after updating your information, or registering a new profile. All fields must be filled in for the profile to be published.

Artist’s profile
You can access and change all information, images and text on your profile until the launch of B-open in September 2024. Log in here if you would like to make any changes on your profile. Your profile will be visible on B-opens webpage until next year’s festival is due.
All existing accounts will have their status changed prior to the registration date this year. This may activate an auto email informing you about a change of your profiles status, which you can ignore. The information on your account will not be afflicted by this.
Remember to add which day your studio will be open at the top in the text box. We highly recommend to have all information in both English and Norwegian.

What’s on?
As partaking artist, you will receive newsletters informing you of upcoming opportunities as support for planned activities and workshops, program for visiting curators, social events, guided tours etc.
We also use newsletters for information regarding promo material, invitations and so forth as we head towards opening of the festival.

Final program for the weekend will be announced towards the launch of B-open 2024.

We use our platform in social media to promote artists and collectives ahead and during the festival, through facebook and instagram. B-open documents activities during the weekend, with a focus on artists’ studios and communication with the public. This is done by a professional photographer, and images are used to promote the festival on SoMe, to inform our collaborators and supporters regarding activity, and as archive material.
