Practical information
B-open is an annual event where professional artists in Bergen are invited to take part in our edition of open studios. Dates for B-open 2023 is 23.-24th of September. During the weekend public are invited to meet artists in their studios and collectives all over town. B-open also facilitates a program including guided tours for the public, and a guest program with invited curators that will visit partaking artists’ studios during the weekend.
Studios in the center of town will have open studios Saturday 23rd, and studios outside the town center will be open on the 24th, both days from 12-17. Partaking artists commit to keep their studios open one of two days during all opening hours. If you are unable to take part after registration, please notify us by email to produksjon@b-open.no.
Who can register to take part in B-open? Professional artists in Bergen can take part with open studios for free. You will need to have a Bachelor, Master-degree or Diploma within Arts from a Norwegian or foreign art educator. Applicants with no formal education is also welcome to apply but will be assessed based on artistic activity.
Registration for B-open 2023 is open until 14th of July 2023.
You register by simply updating your excisting profile, or by creating a profile if you are a new user. Please log in at www.b-open.no for log in. Remember to add which day your studio will be open at the top in the text box. If you are participating for the first time this year, you need to create a new profile.
After updating your information, your page will be published on the website within a few days.

Artist’s profile
You can access and change all information, images, and text, on your profile until the launch of B-open in September 2023. Log in here if you would like to make any changes on your profile. Your profile will be visible on B-opens webpage until next year’s festival is due.
All existing accounts will have their status changed prior to the registration date. This may activate an auto email informing you about this which you can ignore. The information on your account will not be afflicted by this.
What’s on?
As partaking artist, you will receive newsletters informing of coming opportunities as support for planned activities and workshops, program for visiting curators, social events, guided tours etc.
Final program for the weekend will be announced towards the launch of B-open 2023.
SoMe
We use our platform in social media to promote artists and collectives ahead and during the festival, through facebook and instagram. Share what you are up to, and if you are taking part in B-open. Please tag us with @b-open2023 and #bopen23 so we can share your posts! Please contact linnheidi@b-open.no if you have questions regarding communication on social media.
Photo
B-open document activities during the weekend, with a focus on artists’ studios and communication with the public. This is done by a professional photographer, and images are used to promote the festival on soMe, to inform our collaborators and supporters regarding activity, and as photographic archive. If you do not want your photo to be taken, please notify us by sending a mail to produksjon@b-open.no
