Runa Halleraker (b. Trondheim 1995) is a visual artist and poet, working from a deep interest in the medium of painting, expanding to include drawing, text, sculpture and installation. Like a playing and moulding of emotion, Runa mainly creates nonfigurative large-scale paintings with attention to details, and with a visual vocabulary ranging between sheer transparency and utter opacity. The work explores internal complexities like a poetic expansion of the mind, touching upon queer identities, memories, futures and relationships, creating an intimate atmosphere which blurs with its environment and the bodies within it.
