(VAN ETTEN) Van Etten is an independent art space for contemporary art in Oslo, Norway. Established in the fall of 2020, it is led by curator and art historian Katja van Etten Jarem, along with visual artist Øyvind Sørfjordmo.
(KATJA J)Katja van Etten Jarem (b.1988) is a curator based in Oslo. She currently holds the position of director at Trafo Kunsthall in Asker. Additionally, she is the director and co-owner of Van Etten Gallery in Oslo, which she operates in collaboration with artist Øyvind Sørfjordmo.
(ØYVIND S) Øyvind Sørfjordmo (b1987) lives and works in Oslo. He graduated from the MFA program at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts in 2018. Sørfjordmo’s work is included in the permanent collection of artworks at Nasjonalmuseet i Oslo, Trondheim Kunstmuseum, Griegsamlingen, Equinor and private collections. In 2018 he was awarded the Håkon Bleken Scholarship.
