Artist statement

-- Åpent atelier søn 22.sept 2024, kl 12-17 --

Over the past 20 years I have developed an art practice that explores sculpture and its possibilities through my own, and collaborative practice. I strongly believe in the possibilities of artmaking to help us to address existential aspects of living and I use sculpture and the exploration of space to pose questions about the material and technological reality of the complex world we currently inhabit. The world of music, in particular improvised music and all its meandering forms is a constant inspiration to explore agency and to challenge perceptions of perfection. With materiality and the handmade at its core, my work manifests itself as large-scale installation, public artwork and moving image in a body of work to raise questions of imagination, ecology, attitude, technology and time.
