Artist statement

Helge Skodvin er en fotograf fra Bergen. Han er utdannet tømrer, men har siden han la ned hammeren arbeidet som fotograf for magasiner, aviser, firma og forlag. I tillegg til personlige prosjekter. Han har gitt ut tre fotobøker. Hans bok 240 Landscape ble av Martin Parr kåret til den beste fotoboken i verden i 2015. Han har vært nominert til den prestisjefulle Leica Oskar Barnack Award. Skodvin arbeider i sjangeren dokumentarfotografi, hvor han har en sterk visuell stemme og personlig tilnærming.
