16NSt Gallery and Collective

Aga Paulina Młyńczak (b. Wrocław, PL) is a multi-media artist, researcher, and curator based in Glasgow, with a practice that delves into the interplay between language, translation, and their sonic and spatial properties. A graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, Aga’s work spans installations, participatory art, and procedural narrations, all of which seek to expand our understanding of communication and community dynamics. Her work is deeply informed by research within LGBTQ+ and migrant artistic practices, reflecting a strong commitment to inclusivity, social policy, and access.

Aga is Co-director of 16NSt, a Glasgow-based collective and itinerant gallery dedicated to fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion in the arts. Under her leadership, 16NSt prioritises female-identifying, LGBTQ+, and class-marginalised artists, expanding its community reach through a new itinerant, site-specific model of place-based programming. This approach ensures greater accessibility and support for diverse audiences and artists, meeting them where they are.

Recently, Aga contributed to the set design for “Sonar;;Sauna” at the 2024 Take Me Somewhere Festival and became a project partner for the Turning the Tide pan-European project. She also completed a residency at ISSP Riga and is currently collaborating with Moira Salt on a performance for David Dale Gallery. Additionally, Aga was honoured to join the Board of Trustees at Glasgow Independent Studios, further contributing to the local arts community.
